Waun Wyllt means the Wild Moor or Wild Meadow, which is derived from its location nestled in the Sylen hills to the north of Llanelli. In the years past, one can imagine the how weary travellers and locals would have sought food, drink and shelter in the homely surroundings of the Waun Wyllt. We are tucked away in the heart of the Carmarthenshire countryside, 3 miles to the North of Llanelli and 13 miles equidistant from both Swansea and Carmarthen. Within 5 miles you will find Pembrey Country Park and Cefn Sidan beach, Glyn Abbey Golf Club and the Ffos Las Racecourse which sees its first race in June 2009.The Inn is situated on the main trail used by walkers and cyclists exploring the beautiful landscape of the area.
